Music on Loop: Jazz Cartier's Marauding in Paradise
1:54 PMI came across Jazz Cartier from one of those youtube sites that compile same genre of music. Think that infamous youtube channel called Majestic (but for trap music or hiphop, I can't remember which channel I was in). I was drawn to the track I heard and decided to give Jazz Cartier a search and I'm glad I did that.
I am hooked on his album. I'm seriously waiting for him to blow up. His aesthetics are on point. His videos are on point. His lyrics and flow and rap style is on point. His whole album is...majestic. I'm surprised he hasn't shown up in the radar really as his videos only have a hundred thousand views. Sucks that he's very underrated. People may hate me for this but JC is my Travis Scott. To me I also think he could be the new A$AP ROCKY. A prodigy if you must. With the amazing fashion sense and spot on visuals from his videos, he's a mix of both worlds. That's just what I see in Jazz Cartier a that's just my own opinion (You can voice yours down at the comments section).
The lyrics that he drops are one of the pretty coolest lyrics I've heard in a while like "Money is my new religion" or "They want me dead or alive. They want me dead or alive I'm just trying to survive"... unlike your "Hotline Bling" type, he drops some pretty insane beats as well.
My life been a flight with a lot of delays
I prefer a blue skies, lately mine have been grey
A little turbulence but luckily my landing was safe
Couple of bodies were laid on the path that I paved!

I also love how he infuses movie references and other cultural icons in his music AND samples movie lines from movies as well. It makes it that more raw, more relatable, and much more strong, cohesive, well thought out and personal.
I definitely recommend you guys grab his album. He's a rapper hailing from Toronto, Canada and I believe he deserves that big break. His album is my 2015 album as I had it on repeat for months!
